   4. How to change attributes.

Current tutorial shows how to change attributes in files.

Sometimes we need to change attributes in files. Files which are copied from CD/DVD disks are flagged as read only files. And we want to change such situation. So we launch Useful File Utilities and perform the following steps for changing attributes in files:

1) Firstly, we need to select files/directories for which we want to change attributes. That's can be done by using right button of the mouse or pressing direction buttons and SPACE. The selected files will be printed in red color.

2) Then we need to choose "Change Attributes" in the "Plug-ins" menu. If "Change Attributes" is absent in the list of plug-ins it need to be downloaded and installed. - "Download Change Attributes".

3) A plug-in "Change Attributes" will be shown on the screen.

4) We will set "Recurse subdirectories" checkbox to on for changing all the files within selected directories and it's subdirectories. Then we will uncheck "Read only" checkbox for clearing such flag on the selected files. Next step is the press to the "Ok" button.

5) Main window of the program will be shown after operation finished.
